Breakfast Club

6/2/11

Breakfast club is a flat equitation class where we use scribes to take notes on each kid in the ring. It allows us to give more detailed comments for each rider and things that would be noticed in a horse show setting. This week Janet and Lauren judged to give our riders a feel for the format. We will host guest judges for upcoming breakfast clubs.

Breakfast Club getting under way- 7:30am

Breakfast Club line up with our top 3 picks from the advanced group. They were asked to dismount, answer a horsemanship question and then remount.

Breakfast Club ends....in to take care of the horses, eat a fabulous breakfast and then an unmounted lesson.

Crayola and Grace Ann Nolan were Reserve Champion in the Walk/Trot/ Canter Division. They were also 2nd O/F and 3rd in the under saddle of the Cross rail Division out of 11! Congrats on your huge progress!

Cadeau and Stella Martin were Champion in the Jr/Sr Eq Division! They were also 2nd, 3rd and 5th in the Jr/Sr Hunter Division. Cadeau was also Reserve Champion in the Special Hunter Division

Red Carpet and Lauren Kissel had a great debut in the Special Hunter Division. 4th in both O/F and 3rd Under Saddle out of 9. What a great brain and amazing form O/F this young horse has!

Patchwork Riders participate in JustWorld Fundraiser

Patchwork riders recently took part in a fundraiser for Just World
International, an equestrian organization that raises money for kids in
developing countries. Friday night our riders helped out and participated in the horseless horse show at the Atlanta Fall I. The girls provided most of the jumps and many of our kids helped out! Natalie was the show manager, Addie was the photographer, and Autumn made and provided jumps. Others participated like Anna Claire, Caroline, and even Carlos!
